How it works in five steps

Understand the request
By voice or via the touchscreen on the robot, for example, “LED bulb E27 warm white.”

Match product data
shoppiOS looks up the item in the product database and assigns the category and the location in the store.

Start wayfinding
The robot navigates to the target department and guides the customer there.

Support the interaction
Depending on the setup, the display shows variants, availability, or additional information.

Requests, routes, and usage signals feed back into reporting and assortment optimization.

One control system for all stores
Locations are managed centrally, while content and routes are maintained per store. Roles and permissions separate headquarters from the sales floor. Analytics run per location or across all of them.
Who is responsible in day-to-day operation
Your local integrator supplies the robots, handles installation and training, and takes care of ongoing support. You have one point of contact and one contract for the entire solution.
Athegus supplies the software underneath, maintains the integrations with robots and building systems, and supports your integrator with technical questions behind the scenes.
You remain free to choose: which robot type for which process, which integrator, which operating mode. Changing manufacturers does not mean changing systems.

Built together with Smartricity
shoppiOS is being built as a joint venture between Athegus and Smartricity. Athegus provides the robotics and integration logic; Smartricity contributes retail data and industry experience. Underneath, it runs on Axiona — the same platform that hospOS is built on.
At Smartricity, the product goes by the name Shoppibot .
